Our Vision
We strive to create superior customer and shareholder value as one of the safest, lowest-cost and most environmentally responsible suppliers of coal-based energy in the world.
Our Products
More than 70 percent of our 5.5-billion-ton reserve base consists of low-sulfur coal. In 2010, more than 90 percent of our customers used our coal for generating electricity. The majority of our coal goes to domestic electric generators that rely on its low-sulfur quality to meet U.S. Clean Air Act emission standards. Other customers use our coking and pulverized coal injection (PCI) coals for steel-making.
